GOODBYE, ELI ANDERSON

I see a blond man on the train and I think of you.

I do that shit all the time now.

Goodbye, Eli Anderson was the winner of the Queensland Theatre's Young Playwrights' Award for 2022 and was a finalist for the Patrick White Playwrights’ Award, Griffin Award, Queensland Writers Centre’s Stageable and Premier’s Drama Award in 2023/4.

SYNOPSIS

Eli Anderson knows how his own story ends. He has been there, he has thought it over back to front but he can never put it into words. That is until he meets Benji Hatchet, a runaway loner with more than enough words to share, as they both embark on the road trip of a lifetime across Australia. Secrets, lies and 70’s rock hits entangle and intertwine as both young men struggle to understand who they truly are with the world against them.
